V-nails are either inserted with Pushmaster, Ezy Framer, Pro and Studio Joiner or hammered into back of frame at corner joins. The v-nail is designed to be inserted with the grain of the timber, so will not cause timber to split. The v-shape helps pull the corners together to give a tight join, and is very, very strong. To be used in conjunction with a good wood working glue (or a special strong framing glue - refer adhesive section).
